Policies for Event Organizers
- Due to fire code restrictions, parking on patios, sidewalks, under canopies, etc. is not allowed. Violators will be towed at their expense.
Main Hall exhibition space is set on a 30-foot grid plan for utilities.
All floor plans must be approved by The Center prior to selling a show. The Center will acquire City of Springfield Public Safety Approval.
Freight (trade show equipment) cannot be accepted at The Center. All show freight must be sent to the show decorator.
All exhibitors are responsible for fees of the utilities used including electrical, telephone, and water services. Utilities must be paid in advance.
The Center does not permit nails, staples, tacks, tape, etc. to be used on the meeting room walls or any painted surface of facility (including pillars and doors).
The Center is not responsible for articles left in the facility nor any items that have been lost or stolen.
Policies for Event Attendance
Visitors are encouraged to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time of an event. Doors typically open to the public one hour before the event performance time. This may vary by event. Please see event specific pages for more details.
The Center is a non-smoking facility. This policy will be strictly enforced within all areas of the building.
Lost & Found
Lost and found items will be held at the The Center Administration Offices.
After an event, please call 217-788-8800 to inquire.
The Center intends to provide all guests with a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable atmosphere. Consequently, the management does not intend to allow a pleasant experience to be disrupted or ruined by a few unruly guests. Therefore, we have established the following rules for expected guest conduct:
- Guests using foul or abusive language or gestures will be ejected from the property.
Guests appearing intoxicated will be denied entry or ejected from the property.
Guests interfering with the progress of the event or going onto the stage will be ejected and arrested.
Guests wearing obscene or indecent clothing are not allowed on property.
To enforce these policies, The Center Security will be located throughout the facility. Guests who are not here to enjoy the event or cannot comply with these rules will not be welcome at The Center.
